Researcher wins honor

University of Arizona researcher Janet M. Wang Roveda recently won the prestigious NSF PECASE (Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineer) Award for her work on software tools that will help engineers design nanometer-scale integrated circuits.

She is one of 20 award winners and one in four in the area of computer and information science.

Wang Rovenda is creating Electronics Design Automation tools that will help engineers design nanometer-scale integrated circuits. Integrated circuits are the building blocks behind complex and tiny electronic devices such as cell phones, MP-3 players and desktop computers.
