A Vampire Tale: Graceful aero-bat-ics.

GOING ON ITS fourth year, A Vampire Tale eerily rises to meet viewers’ expectation of brilliant choreography and go-for-broke physicality as Scorpius Dance Theatre brings back its signature season opener at Phoenix Theatre, 100 E. McDowell Road.

The troupe’s Web page describes the production as “love, sex and rock ‘n’ roll – vampire style.” It also has become a quirky seasonal marker for those who recall that October brings a chance to revel in darker subjects – like Halloween. You can join the fun by wearing a vampire costume (and getting 5 bucks off your ticket at the Phoenix Theatre box office).
