ASU hosts music series

The ASU Herberger College School of Music hosting a National Student Conference and Free Concert Series

The Arizona State University Herberger College School of Musicwill host the Society of Composers, Inc. (SCI) Holds 2006 National Student Conference and Free Concert Series Oct. 13 - 14.

Distinguished faculty and students will perform selected pieces composed by 35 students in the United States and Canada. Award-winning composer Alex Shapiro will be the featured composer and keynote speaker.

Concerts will be held 7:30 p.m. Oct. 13 and 10:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. Oct. 14. Shapiro’s lecture is set for 4 p.m. Oct. 14. Events are free and open to the public.
