Clubs get awards

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale, which serves 14,000 youth, received seven awards at a national conference in May. More than 4,000 clubs were represented.

President/CEO Joe Cordova received the Outstanding Service to Latino Professionals Award. The club also received the Outstanding National Trainer of the Year Award, which honored Toni Sarcinella, vice president of human resources and administration, and the National Vision for Unity Award.

In addition, two district clubs received the National Merit awards.
