AMCA board reorganizes

The Associated Minority Contractors of America recently reorganized its board of directors to better represent.

The Associated Minority Contractors of America recently reorganized its board of directors to better represent the contracting community as a whole.

The process involved re-election of current board members, plus the addition of new members. The goal is to form a team with extensive expertise and experience.

New Board members were elected based on their commitment and willingness to serve minority and women contractors. The association plans to branch out to Arizona cities and expand services to other states who have asked for support and assistance.

New executive board members are: Martin Alvarez Sr., board chair, Sun Eagle Corporation; Dave Murdough, chair elect, Midway Chevrolet; Gloria Lowrie, treasurer, Pace Pacific Corporation; Lisa Erby, secretary; Southwest Caulking Contractors, Inc.

New board members include: Daniel Villa Jr., immediate past chair, Villa, Inc.; Peter Hemingway, Wood, Patel, and Associates; Robert Franco, Vulcan Materials Company; Rudy Garcia, Auto Safety House; Jimmie Muñoz, Mountain Tel Communications; John Ramos, Peoria Nissan; JoAnn Thomas, Hunt Construction Group; Wayne Oliver, Sundt Construction, Inc.; Antonio Cortes, Cortes Engineering; Tony Valdez, TF Valdez Construction Supply Company; and Raymond Acuna, City of Phoenix.
