Festival showcases Native arts, music

It's the 15th anniversary of the West Valley Invitational Native American Arts Festival

This month marks the 15th anniversary of the West Valley Invitational Native American Arts Festival, an event slated for Jan. 13-14 where one can enjoy traditional and modern works of jewelry, pottery, basketry, weaving, katsinas, painting and beadwork.

All of this, plus authentic foods, demonstrations and musical performances by Native American musicians and dancers guarantees a well-rounded experience of indigenous culture in downtown Litchfield Park, 13825 W. Wigwam Boulevard, Avondale. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
