UA alumns honor two

Jaime P. Gutierrez, associate vice president for community relations at the University of Arizona, and Carmen Bermúdez, chief executive officer of the Tucson Mission Management & Trust Co. in Tucson, are winners of 2007 Portrait of Excellence Awards from the UA Hispanic Alumni Club. Gutierrez, a former state senator, also was deputy director of the Pima County Juvenile Court Center. As founder of Mission Management & Trust, Bermúdez’s company was one of the first asset-management companies in the nation owned by a minority woman. For more, www.uagrad.org/uaha/
