About 77 percent of companies establish annual spending targets with minority- and women-owned business enterprises, according to a primary research study of 13 companies conducted by BestPractices, a program of the Global Benchmarking Council. To further emphasize the importance of supplier diversity, annual performance assessment and compensation for 88 percent of managers are tied to these spending goals.
