Grants awarded to four development projects to create 677 new affordable housing units in Phoenix
Congressman Ed Pastor joined with the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco to announce $2.1 million in Affordable Housing Program grants for 2006. The grants were awarded to four development projects that will create 677 new affordable housing units in
the Phoenix area.
"The Affordable Housing Program plays an important role in financing affordable housing that ensure that citizens of all income levels have access to quality homes and rental units," said Rep. Pastor.
This year, the following Phoenix area projects received AHP funding (dollars in parentheses):
- Park Lee Highland ($1,000,000), 523-unit rental development at 1600 W. Highland in Phoenix sponsored by Community Services of Arizona, Inc.
- Roeser Village II ($480,000), a 64-unit rental development at 454 East Roeser Road in Phoenix sponsored by the Foundation for Senior Living.
- Glendale Haciendas ($345,000), a 60-unit rental development at 6001 W. Missouri Ave. in Glendale sponsored by National Farmworkers Service Center, Inc.
- ACORN Beverly Homes ($300,000), a 30-unit ownership development at Beverly Road and Third Avenue in Phoenix sponsored by Arizona ACORN Housing Corp. For more,
