Applications from 9th- to 12th-grade students interested in science, technology, engineering and math are being accepted for INSPIRE’s online community through Dec. 31. The community provides NASA-related resources and educational activities for high-school aged students. It allows for these students to interact with other students, ask questions and share knowledge. Once selected, students may compete for the grade-appropriate summer experience ranging from a one-day VIP tour and workshops (Tier 1), a two-week, on-campus collegiate experience (Tier 2A), to a paid summer internship (Tiers 2B and 3). INSPIRE is the Interdisciplinary National Science Program Incorporating Research and Education Experience, a NASA project to encourage high school students to pursue science, technology, engineering and ,mathematics careers.

Additional information and a link to an online application is available on the INSPIRE at: http://education.nasa.gov/edprograms/descriptions/INSPIRE_Project.html.
