Wal-Mart starts grant awards in Arizona

Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., and the Wal-Mart Foundation have launched a State Giving Program to award grants to Arizona nonprofit organizations with unmet needs that are not currently addressed by existing programs. Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., and the Wal-Mart Foundation have a history of supporting the communities they serve. The State Giving Advisory Council in Arizona will be accepting grant applications from organizations that are currently operating under the tax-exempt status Section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Foundation has adopted four focus areas: Education, job skills training, environmental sustainability and health. While these areas are of particular significance, other programs that do not specifically align will be given full consideration. For more, visit www.walmartstores.com.
