Los Lonely Boys from San Angelo, Tejas, blew into Phoenix to star at the Food City Cinco de Mayo celebration on May 3. Singer/guitarist Henry Garza, Jojo Garza on bass and Ringo Garza on drums conquered the cheering Phoenix crowd like the Mexicans did the French invaders in 1862 at the Battle of Puebla. In the photos below, the Garza Boys met with Ray Arvizu and his crew from Arvizu Advertisings & Promotions, who organized the Phoenix performance. Kathleen Mascarenas, a local journalist, also interviewed the Boys about their latest album, Forgiven, due to be released on July 1. These Grammy-winning muchachos showed flashes of their original Texican rock ānā roll, which combines their root influences of rock, blues, soul, and Tejano. !Que Viva Los Lonely Boys!
